Channeling -- my first attempt! « Result #7 on May 23, 2009, 9:43pm »
I have been interested in channeling for almost ten years. I have read a lot about it and have wanted to try it for quite some time.
Since I cannot seem to find any online tutorials, I went with the information I could find online, and went about my attempt.
I lied down on my bed, closed my eyes and began to meditate. Due to my extensive astral projection experience, it didn't take me long to fall into a trance.
While entranced, I "tuned in", opening myself up to potential nearby spirits. I felt various cobweb, tingly and the occasional prickly sensation on different parts of my body (legs, feet, arms, back, etc). I also picked up random thoughts and feelings, which I tried to tune into. I perceived these as different spirits.
I eventually picked one that felt good, and non-verbally invited it to take over my body. I then felt a gradual tightening around the front of my throat. That lasted quite awhile! I shifted positions ever-so-slightly and the feeling came back when I stayed still again.
I then felt like the spirit merged with my body and was free to take control. However, it didn't do anything. I tried moving my lips apart so that it would be easier for the spirit to speak, but it decided not to.
Eventually, I started to run out of energy to hold my trance and I let the spirit know that I need to take over. I then broke trance and sat up. I still felt the spirit's grip on my body, even though I asked him/her to leave. I further took control of my body and about 10-20 minutes later -- felt the spirit's grip diminish. However, I can still feel it's presence.
She feels like a benevolent spirit, as I imagine most of them are. I sensed one try to come through before her that didn't feel right, so I went with my instinct.
If I have some more energy, I will try and contact her again.

Two weird experiences « Result #8 on Nov 2, 2008, 8:55pm »
Last night, when I was at the computer listening to music and giggling about some goofy web sites, I saw a transparent, black orb quickly angle downward past the right side of my computer monitor and through the desk. Even though I didn't feel anything, I presume according to its trajectory that went through my leg.
Another weird thing that happened a week or two ago: I was on Google typing a search for "ghost passed through me", when I felt the sensation of an orb about the same size pass through my chest. I didn't see anything, and the feeling wasn't overwhelming, but it was obvious enough for me to take notice.

My apartment ghost « Result #10 on Oct 16, 2008, 6:59pm »
Something strange happened in my apartment in May...I saw a shadow person! I had just woken up from a nap...it was between 9:30 and 9:45 PM...I either turned on or turned off the lamp (I forget which), turned around and there it was in the doorway to the bedroom.
The first thought running through my head was that it was a burglar, so I gasped! I then looked at my own shadow on the wall for comparison (created by the light from the outside from a passing car), looked back at the shadow person and it faded away.
It was about 5'8" tall, medium muscular build, with curly hair that flips up at the bottom.
Ever since I saw it, I have felt weird things, off and on. Also, the atmosphere changes around that time at night sometimes. It's like the air gets thick (mentally)...hard to describe...Also, sometimes a heavy feeling will come over another room.
