I have been interested in channeling for almost ten years. I have read a lot about it and have wanted to try it for quite some time.

Since I cannot seem to find any online tutorials, I went with the information I could find online, and went about my attempt.

I lied down on my bed, closed my eyes and began to meditate. Due to my extensive astral projection experience, it didn't take me long to fall into a trance.

While entranced, I "tuned in", opening myself up to potential nearby spirits. I felt various cobweb, tingly and the occasional prickly sensation on different parts of my body (legs, feet, arms, back, etc). I also picked up random thoughts and feelings, which I tried to tune into. I perceived these as different spirits.

I eventually picked one that felt good, and non-verbally invited it to take over my body. I then felt a gradual tightening around the front of my throat. That lasted quite awhile! I shifted positions ever-so-slightly and the feeling came back when I stayed still again.

I then felt like the spirit merged with my body and was free to take control. However, it didn't do anything. I tried moving my lips apart so that it would be easier for the spirit to speak, but it decided not to.

Eventually, I started to run out of energy to hold my trance and I let the spirit know that I need to take over. I then broke trance and sat up. I still felt the spirit's grip on my body, even though I asked him/her to leave. I further took control of my body and about 10-20 minutes later -- felt the spirit's grip diminish. However, I can still feel it's presence.

She feels like a benevolent spirit, as I imagine most of them are. I sensed one try to come through before her that didn't feel right, so I went with my instinct.

If I have some more energy, I will try and contact her again.
