OK...so this guy I work with...I've maybe met him twice. I asked him how his weekend was and he goes "do you really want to know" to which I reply "yes."
He tells me about his brother-in-law's grandson (I guess what would be his great-nephew?) who had to go to the hospital. I empathise, offer sympathy, etc, all the nice things that a decent person would do.
He then proceeds to pull something out of his pocket. He hands it to the person next to me to refuses and then hands it to me. I take the object and ask him what it is. He tells me that it's a pacemaker and that it saved his life.   
I look at it, turn the thing over, and it looks brand new. Wouldn't is be all nasty and corroded if it was in his body for some time???
ARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!
